My Home Track? (tell us who your home track is or where you love to race at?)
In Professional RockCrawling (an extreme off road motorsport), we don't really have home tracks. We tour the entire United States to practice and compete on natural and man-made courses. However, we do take part in numerous Southern California and Las Vegas special appearances at events like SuperCross, SEMA Show, Championship Off Road Racing (CORR), OffRoad Expo, and more.
I am a...? (driver, crew, tech, family, crew, company, track, advertiser, media, photographer)
I am the lead driver for the Red Bull RockCrawling Team in a sport that is primarilly a men's sport.
My Type/Syle of Racing? (Tell us what type/style of racing you do)
RockCrawling is a sport where we drive custom-built 4 wheel drive vehicles over insane obstacles. There are racing formats and technical driving formats and ALL of them involve numerous roll-overs, crashes, and big saves, as well as incredible successes where teams are able to scale 85 degree (near vertical) climbs, over-vertical drops that are taller than the vehicle is long, huge jumps, big wheelies, and more!
My Horsepower? (Describe your car and specs)
My current rockcrawler, the Red Bull RockHer II, is the most technically advanced rockcrawler in competition. In our sport, horsepower plays a minor role, so I have a specially built 350 HP 4.3 liter GM V-6. The real key in rockcrawling is gearing, low center of gravity, solid suspension design, and numerous braking options. In the RockHer II, I can apply the brakes 11 different ways to activate any 1, any 2, any 3, or all 4 brakes, in order to spin the vehicle in it's own length, slide the vehicle sideways, climb a single wheel over-vertical while the rest of the tires stay put, and more. Not too many sports take such technical knowledge to drive. Really, we should be called pilots as in rockcrawling, there’s the vertical dimension to consider. That isn't present in most other motorsports! ;-)
My Team? (tell us about you and your team/crew)
“OUR” team is made up of 4 very dedicated members.
We used to be a two-car team but at the end of 2006, changed to a “one vehicle per event” strategy. My Husband, Dustin Webster was one of the first heroes of the sport and not so long ago, gave up the driver's seat in his vehicle to help continue my training and to focus all of the team's assets on me. It was a very generous thing to do as he was a great driver. However, he felt I performed better on the most difficult climbs and giant vertical dropoffs, which are critical elements in winning our events. He decided that with a little focus, he could make me into a World Champion. At this point, he does not regret it as not only did I win the first ever World RockCrawling Championships just one year later, but have gone on to take numerous National Titles and podium finishes. I am so thankful to him for stepping back his driving career to help put me at the top of the rankings.
Our Crew Chief, Dallas Ashley of SFRacing, has been with our team for 5 years now. He started out his auto-based career in a Carroll Shelby restoration shop and learned the in's and out's of intricate race plumbing, engine management, and so much more. In 2000, he opened a small off road shop in Vista, California and has since then, grown to be one of the most well known fabricators, race technicians, and crew chiefs in the off road scene.
My spotter Mike Berard has one of the toughest jobs on the team. A spotter stays outside the vehicle, yet on-course to provide direction and details regarding the lines we’re on, the risk evaluations, the last second strategy changes, and more, all the while prepping the course by using his physical strength to move large boulders into strategic locations to help with the big climbs, crazy off-cambers, and giant descents. There are no harder working people within our sport than the spotters and I am honored to have Mike working with me.
Finally, my team manager is Ed Webster. Ed is my father and biggest fan. He is there to support me in every way and works as hard as the 20 year old “young bucks” that make up the majority of the sport. It doesn’t matter the role, if it needs filled, he jumps right in as mechanic, sponsor host, course advisor, emotional supporter, go-fer, you name it. Quite often, you feel obligated to let family play a role on a team. With my father, I feel lucky to have him and sure miss him when he cannot be there!

My Bragging Rights... (My stats and wins)
6 Women’s National Championship wins in a row, 2005 W.E.ROCK World RockCrawling Invitational Champion, 2007 Pro Rock Series Champion, 2006 W.E.ROCK National Silver Medalist, 2006 W.E.ROCK World Silver Medalist.
What i am doing now? (tell us what you are currently doing now...next race, project...)
We’ve just finished the 2008 Main Season where I finished 6th overall in the W.E.ROCK Western Pro National Series. The fall/winter season will be filled with numerous trade-shows including Off Road Expo and the giant SEMA Show, where we will not only do rockcrawling demonstrations in front of large crowds, but also will have one of our rockcrawlers in feature booths inside the main tradeshow areas. In December we will go for our 7th Women’s National title in a row and then in February we will compete in the halo event known as the “King of the Hammers Ultimate Desert Race”. Over the next four months we will be developing new team partners (sponsors) to supplement the strong relationships we already have. If we find success in that arena, we will build two brand new vehicles for the 2009 RockCrawl and Rock Race season.
I started out as a successful competition gymnast then moved on at age 18 into the world of Professional Cliff Diving. Over the years I traveled the world diving off of the craziest possible things including cliffs, bridges, castles, radio towers, you name it…if there was height and water below it, you might have found me taking an adrenaline filled leap! I was one of the few female Pro Cliff Divers in the world and was considered to be in the top 10 (against the men) worldwide…the only problem was due to “machisimo”, I was not allowed to compete in fear of me beating out the majority of male competitors and shaming them in their home countries. My cliff diving highlight was finally being allowed to compete in the Acapulco Cliff Diving Championships in 2002, where I took home the silver medal. It was a great leap forward for women in sports and I was proud to be one of the few to have ever dived from the top of those world famous cliffs!
Now, as a mother of 2 sons and a Red Bull Pro Athlete, I live a life full of excitement and reward. Whether it is watching my sons play soccer, seeing them doing so well in school, or driving my rockcrawler off a 15 foot over-vertical drop to dead-flat ground, I find satisfaction that I am not just letting life guide my way, I’m taking ahold of life and living it to the fullest!
